The PRactice
We are a public relations firm, run entirely by students, at The Ohio State University. We work on real campaigns for real clients to gain real communication results.
As a member of The PRactice, you'll gain hands-on PR experience for your resume and materials for your portfolio. The PRactice provides opportunities to gain experience in event planning, creative/graphic design, strategic planning, social media campaigns, survey/focus group research, public relations writing and media relations for local and national campaigns.
While The PRactice is an extension of the Public Relations Student Society of America, it is important to realize that being a part of The PRactice requires more dedication and time than an ordinary student organization. In order to create and enact a successful public relations campaign, every member must be actively and consistently involved. The Practice provides experience similar to an internship and should be treated as seriously as one. Academics are obviously a chief priority during college, but you will be expected to effectively manage your time to fulfill your role in The PRactice.
Being a part of The PRactice requires hard work, but is a fun and rewarding experience. It is a place to gain real-world experience, materials for your portfolio, contacts in the communication field and friendships with students who share you career interest.
